Topic of the Evening: The-Dream’s new, FREE LP “1977
For those of you who are familiar with The-Dream, you know him from singles such as “Falsetto” or “Shawty is a 10.” These hits which he has produced over the years have certainly gained him a lot of attention from other famous acts, like Beyoncé and Justin Bieber, but have they really given him the credit he deserves? I think not.
Mr. Terius Nash has worked with more artists than you can shake several sticks at, creating chart-topping hits such as “Baby” for Justin Bieber and “All the Single Ladies” For Beyoncé, but these masterpieces of their genre leave a shadow in which most of his own personal pieces reside.
Feeling the effects of this, The-Dream decided to remove a considerable amount of his gusto to let people see a more personal side, and thus released a FREE LP entitled “1977;” the year he was born. Having already been a big fan, I was eager just to get any new installment in his personal works, but this was unexpected…and I cannot express how great it is to see an artist as dedicated to his fans as this man is. Give it a chance over at The Dream - 1977 // Free Mixtape @ DatPiff.com and if you don’t like it, fine. Just know that his talent isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
***Might as well call this thebiannualsup.com ;)***
A great friend of mine over at gizmotronx.com is working on providing users with an informative environment for technology and gaming. It would be great if the tumblr’s of the world could unite to help give a boost to this site, for I fear that far too many sites are not as personable as this one will be. All one must do is pose a question as to a piece of technology and, like a flash, gizmotronx.com will be ready to deliver. As of now, if anyone is interested, there is a review written by yours truly which discusses a very tiny projector that shoots a 90” image onto my wall. Vivitek Qumi Q2 Review. At an affordable $450, this baby is a HUGE upgrade from flat screens!
DOUBLE POST MADNESS
Food of Choice: McGuire’s Irish Pub of Destin
This place is memory city (and mammary city if you check out the beer taps) and I always enjoy the atmosphere, as well as the food. Everyone always seems chipper and the good times just keep on coming. Try the award-winning meats, especially any of the steaks: made with the prime cuts (supposedly the top 10% of all beef inspected is served with their steak plates) of cows. Come for the 1.2 million on the wall, stay for the 1.2 million you will spend between the family and the novelties.
*This Just In!
Dear lord, help me, for the amount of food I have consumed is truly unholy. I cannot believe I didn’t lose any of it but am so thankful I only felt nausea for about 30 minutes. Still cannot express how tasty it was going down…but it takes a true 5* establishment to make it good coming up. Glad I did not find out.
It has been brought to my attention (by myself) that I have forgotten to post for 3 numeric dates of the month, thereby defying the name of my establishment. Let it be known that “daily” refers to “modern” or “current,” versus what you might define as the rigor of day-to-day coverage. I am dedicated to bringing current happenings as fast and swift as I can, but not everyday. If I get “everyday” feedback and submissions, it will potentially reach everyday status, but that is not a sole effort. To all of you who may or may not follow me in the future, I apologize if this misled you.
Thanks,
The Daily Team
Wazzup of the early morning-
“The Drug in Me is You”
By: Falling in Reverse
Album: “The Drug in Me is You”
This group definitely got my attention thanks to a good friend of mine. The lead singer has the perfect voice for this music style (I’d say punk/rock/glam) and he delivers every song the way it needs to be. Nice balance of scream v. sing for all the album and to top it all off a legit story: Ronnie Radke was the lead of former band Escape the Fate, but due to drug-related depressions and a scuffle, he found himself in jail for 5 years. Right after stepping out, he stepped into the music scene once more and we have Falling in Reverse!

“Set Fire to the Rain”
Artist: Adele
Album: “21”
Understand that the bluesy feel of her sound from “Rolling in the Deep” is completely outcast in this song (and it is a good thing, too, because I really did not connect with the sound. I can definitely vouch for her knack and ability in that genre of music, but “Set Fire to the Rain” is more than enough to keep Adele in my corner in a way i can appreciate. Passion is the word of choice for this song, and if you are running into relationship trouble, consult the sympathy of this song. Your stories will connect and you will be hooked as I was.
