Topic of the Evening: The-Dream’s new, FREE LP “1977
For those of you who are familiar with The-Dream, you know him from singles such as “Falsetto” or “Shawty is a 10.” These hits which he has produced over the years have certainly gained him a lot of attention from other famous acts, like Beyoncé and Justin Bieber, but have they really given him the credit he deserves? I think not.
Mr. Terius Nash has worked with more artists than you can shake several sticks at, creating chart-topping hits such as “Baby” for Justin Bieber and “All the Single Ladies” For Beyoncé, but these masterpieces of their genre leave a shadow in which most of his own personal pieces reside.
Feeling the effects of this, The-Dream decided to remove a considerable amount of his gusto to let people see a more personal side, and thus released a FREE LP entitled “1977;” the year he was born. Having already been a big fan, I was eager just to get any new installment in his personal works, but this was unexpected…and I cannot express how great it is to see an artist as dedicated to his fans as this man is. Give it a chance over at The Dream - 1977 // Free Mixtape @ DatPiff.com and if you don’t like it, fine. Just know that his talent isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
